The Ocean Five Entertainment Center is a community landmark in Gig Harbor. The facility spans two levels and occupies around 60,227 square feet, featuring an elegant restaurant with a bar, lounge areas, a conference center with private meeting rooms, bowling lanes, and other family-related amenities.
The exterior of the building is covered with limestone and concrete masonry units (CMU). The interiors feature reclaimed wood panels that cover many of the curved exposed surfaces and structural elements. The project achieved LEED Gold certification by utilizing reclaimed materials and implementing eco-friendly features, such as a geothermal heating system. Over 30% of the building's power comes from renewable sources. During construction, 75% of the waste generated was recycled, and over 20% of materials were sourced locally, including all the woodwork, carpets from fish netting, and a featured chandelier made from recycled metal.
JMC's team delivered the project on a fast-track schedule, within budget, and to the highest construction and design standards. Effective coordination and communication between the owner, architects, and subcontractors ensured a smooth construction process.
