Aspire 11 is a federally funded HUD (Housing Urban Development) project in Tacoma’s Hilltop neighborhood. The new 325,000-square-foot transit-oriented development will be a 9-story building, expected to be completed in 2024.

The project provides 289 apartment units, offering a range of layouts from studios to one, two, and three-bedroom apartments. The development also includes 16,991-square-feet of ground-level retail space, revitalizing the neighborhood with street-level activity.

The first four floors will function as a parking garage and consist of post-tensioned slabs. The fifth floor will serve as a transfer deck, facilitating the transition from concrete and metal to a wood-framing structure. JMC's team is currently employing penalization techniques to achieve construction efficiency. The fourth floor will include a communal space for tenants to share amenities, including a fitness and yoga studio and bike storage. Aspire 11 will also offer a landscaped roof garden, with a community room and a kitchen, providing residents with an urban oasis to relax and unwind.

The Aspire 11 team is committed to delivering cutting-edge development that will bring the latest sustainability features, including immediate access to Tacoma’s public transit rail lines. Once completed, the project will seek an NGBS certification and is expected to achieve LEED certification.
